Introducing Vasilisa Mironova, Crowfly’s Marketing Director

Posted on March 7, 2022. Author: CrowFly

We are delighted to announce that Vasilisa Mironova has joined our team as its marketing director! Vasi brings to CrowFly an MBA with a concentration in marketing, a degree in business administration and entrepreneurship, and several years of digital marketing experience. She is also a Russian and U.S. artistic swimming champion and an artistic swimming coach in Buffalo! Vasi is married with one daughter and enjoys planning parties in her spare time. We caught up with her to ask her a few questions about her career and life. Here’s what she had to say.

What attracted you to CrowFly?

I was attracted to Nita’s passion to help people make knowledgeable decisions about their future structured settlement payments. When looking for a new job, I was looking for a company that cared for the community and provided meaningful services that can change one’s life for the better. After I met with Nita, I knew that CrowFly’s values align with my own and that I would absolutely love working here.

What do you hope to bring to the director of marketing role?

I hope to bring in my knowledge to achieve the growth that CrowFly deserves and reach the people in need of our service. The service that CrowFly provides, in many cases, is essential and the only way out of financial trouble. I believe that more people should know about our innovative platform.

So, you’re a champion swimmer? Tell us about that!

I was a professional artistic (synchronized) swimmer for 18 years. I started swimming at the age of three and a half. As a very ambitious and hard-working girl, I managed to become the youngest member of Junior National Team. I was a part of Youth and Junior Russian National Team for six years and won four World Championship titles and six European Championship titles. Due to a serious back injury, I had to stop my athletic career in Russia, and I moved to the U.S. to study and compete for Lindenwood University. In the U.S., I won multiple Nationals and U.S. Collegiate titles. I have coached in many states and in Europe. I was a head coach of a team in New Jersey for two years before the pandemic. Now, I help in a local Buffalo club while raising my almost two-year old daughter.

Sounds like you’re also a big party planner – what’s the best event you’ve planned yet?

I love party planning and every aspect of it: organizing, planning, baking, cooking, balloon décor, etc. I improve with each party and get better with my decorations to make a true ‘Pinterest Perfect’ event. Recently I hosted a gender reveal party for my friend, and it was very beautiful. I baked cookies, cupcakes, cake pops, made chocolate covered strawberries, balloon décor pieces, and a balloon game for gender reveal. I worked very hard to make it a perfect moment for my friend, and she still calls me and thanks me. I have more parties to plan this spring: graduation, retirement, a 30th birthday, second birthday for my daughter, and a baby shower.

What do you love about working in Buffalo?

Buffalo has a great community of great people. I love how each person is very supportive and willing to help. Even though Buffalo has harsh winters, summers are amazing here. My husband has jet skis, so we often go on the lake and enjoy the warm days.
